Mermaid face

Even if you don’t celebrate Halloween, it is always a nice occasion to wear a costume. It is perfect to get dressed up as a scary monster or something magician. In this post I share with you a super easy idea for Halloween. I know that a lot of people have recreated this mermaid look but I wanted to put my spin on it and share some little tricks I learned in the process.

All you need:
> Concealer or Foundation
> Eye shadow, pigment
> Make-up sponge
> Net sock or tights

1. Start with preparing you face. Use your favorite mask or treatment to smooth out the texture. That way the make-up will lay down and look better.

2. Then even out the face tone use concealer and/or foundation.

3.  The next step is a bit funny-looking 😀 but it is totally worth it! Put on a net sock or tight on your skin. Arrange it well. Make sure the holes are not too stretched. You want the borders are thick. That way the fish scales are going to look good.

4. Choose a nice mermaid eye shadow or pigment colour like green, blue, purple. Take it from your pan with a sponge instead of brush.
Quick tip —> To get more pigmented colour damp your sponge before taking the shadow, you can also use some fixing make-up spray or rose water.

5. Apply it on your forehead using tapping motions. Concentrate the most near the hair line and fade out gradually coming to the brows. Leave the center of your forehead barely touched.

6. Then apply some brighter colour in the same tone. Using shimmery shade will give the best results. You can also apply some highlighter.

7. Repeat this steps for your cheekbones. You can make some scales on your neck and shoulders as well.

8. Carefully remove the net sock. To set everything in place for longer, use some fixing make-up spray before that.

9.  To complete the look use some other colourful accents like eyeshadows, liners, mascaras, lipsticks; you can even put some colour on your brows. Don’t forget about options like glitter. And you are done!
