I see these ice cream shirt all over the Internet and I really like them. However, I decided that I can make my own version of this idea (you know me…).
All you need:
> An old shirt
> 3 colours of yarn
> Light colour if felt fabric
> Needle and a thread, scissors
1. First we are going to make the pom-poms . Roll a piece of yarn around your fingers. Then remove this piece of your fingers. Thigh it in the middle with a smaller piece. Then cut the sides.
2. Then shape it by cutting some excess. You want it to be nice and fluffy.
3. And repeat this process for the two other colours. These are our cream balls.
4. Then put on your shirt and mark where you want your ice cream to be. Lay down on a flat surface the blouse and place the three pom-poms in a pyramid shape. On the felt fabric outline a rectangle with width equal to the two base ice cream balls. The length depends on your shirt.
5. Then mark the middle of the width on the opposite side of the rectangle. Simply make a triangle with this three main points.
6. Then cut some triangles to recreate this crossline pattern which the cones have.
7. It is time to sew everything together. Start by sewing the pom-poms. To do so just flatten them a little bit on one side.
8. Finally, sew on the cone. Use some pins to secure the felt to the blouse. That way it won`t move around while sewing it. And you are done!
