We’re wondering through the clothes shops and we run into one of these exceptionally cute and trendy clutch purses. Sadly not everyone can afford one. I’ll show you how to make one on your own and it’ll cost you 3 times less. I personally prefer handmade accessories, because you can make them the way you want to, so they can go perfectly with your clothes and your taste. So with this DIY clutch purse you will be trendy, unique, richer and with perfectly matching outfit. And it`s a perfect accessorie for the prom!
All you need is:
> a metal perfume box (I recommend using the ones, that open from the long side)
> fabric
> glue gun
> beads, gems for decorating and everything you can decorate your purse with
> 3 ring bases
> an instant glue
. Find a box that opens from the long side. Mine opens from the short side, but I don`t mind, because I usualy try to enjoy an event and I avoid searching something in my purse ( no metter how boring sometimes the event is). We go to a party for having fun not for reorganise our bag, right?!
2. If you are going to use a light colour of fabric and your box is dark, just cover it with some self-adhesive paper.
3.Take the metal box and cut a piece of cloth in its shape, but bigger with 1-2 cm for each side. Open the box and glue the fabric with the glue gun on the inside of the box.
4. If you want your clutch purse to have metal accent: Cut a similar piece of fabric for the back. Glue the fabrick only on the back cover so metal part stays visible. To have nice edges glue the fabric like first folding its edges.(In moments like this one I`m thinking for videos…) .
5. When you’re ready turn the box so the front side is pointing towards you and compose your beads and gems. Experiment with different compositions, you can also seek inspiration from the ones on the shop windows, your favorite top designer, internet or your unique imagination. (I recommend Pinterest!)
6. When you’re ready glue the three ring bases on the top side of your purse – where you’ll open it. This will make a place for your fingersand decorate it on top.
