Choco strudel

No matter if it is winter or summer, Sunday is always the relaxing day, perfect for some homemade sweets. And because Sunday is the laziest day of them all, I`m presenting you an easy, fast and tasty idea. Let`s start:

All you need:
> Puff pastry (400 gr)
> Milk chocolate bar
> A knife

DSCF17201. Wait the puff pastry to get soft but still cold. I used half of the full (800 gr) pack.

DSCF17212. Put the chocolate in the center of the puff pastry.

DSCF17233. The goal is to wrap the chocolate with puff pastry. So all we need to do is just starting from one of the corners of the chocolate cut to the end of the puff pastry in height. Repeat for every 4 sides.

DSCF17244. Wrap the chocolate with the puff pastry.First from one side…

DSCF17255. …then form the other side.

DSCF17416. The rest of the puff pastry slice into stripes (1 cm). Equal number of slices on both sides. Take one stripe and put it over the wrapped chocolate.

DSCF17428. With a stripe from the opposite side do the same thing – put it over the first stripe.

DSCF17279.  Do the same with the rest of the stripes

DSCF172910.  Repeat until you are done.

DSCF173011. When you are finished with the braiding, bake the strudel for 10-15 min. The oven should be set to 200° C. Put the pan on the LOWER level of the oven, or else you will have my little crunchy problem.
