Inspired by the autumn, the romantic hairstyles on Pinterest and also by the upcoming Halloween, I present you a tutorial for a beautiful hair accessory. It is golden, just like the fall, and in floral motives. Also, I am preparing a hairstyle using this beauty. It will be soon on my YouTube channel.
All you need:
> Clay
> Paint
> Glue
> Cord
> Bobby-pins
1. Divide your clay in small equal pieces. That way your ornaments will be with nearly equal size, which will make the process easier.
Quick tip —> Use some water while cutting and shaping the clay for more even result.
2. Make one of the parts into a ball. Shape it between your palms.
3. Then press it evenly. Think about the thickness of the piece.
4. Mark the center and with this guide outline five petals. That way you will form a flower.
5. Cut it out and shape with your fingers.
6. Make the leaves the same way.
7. Add some details like veins and stamen. Use a pin to help you with this step.
8. When you are done with some main elements, arrange them and figure out what else you need.
Quick tip —> Remember to reuse your excess piece.
9. Wait for everything to dry or bake it. It depends on the clay you are using.
10. Let`s paint now! I used gold acrylic paint. Usually, the spray paint is faster and easier as a result, but in that case I don’t think it is a good idea. Don’t forget the back of the leaves!
11. When everything is dry it is time to make it a whole element. Use a strong glue and wait it to dry very well.
12. Now turn it around and glue a piece of the cord along the ornament. Left some cord on the both sides, too.
13. Finally, tight a bobby-pin on the both ends of the cord. That way you could attach the accessory to your hair. And you are done!
