Homemade candles

If you are a big candle-lover you know the struggle when the candles cannot be light up anymore but there is still a candle left in the pot. I present you how to upcycle an old candle and make it into a new beautiful one. And this is a perfect present for this season.

All you need:
> Old candle
> A wick
> Small candle
> Natural oil
> Small pan and a bigger one
> Knife and scissors

1. There is a few alternatives of these materials. If you don’t have a wick you can brake normal white candle and take it from it.

2. Remove the candle from its pot using the knife. It could be a little bit difficult. And put it in a cup. If you have from the big square candle you can cut the candle to the level where the inside of it had burn.

3. Fill the bigger pan with water and put it on the hob. Then put the smaller pan with the candle pieces inside of it. That way  the candle will melt.

4. While waiting, take a small piece of another candle or from the already warmed one. Flatten it with your fingers and put the wick inside. Then close the piece of candle and make it in a round shape. Finally, put it in the center of a small glass and press well. That way the wick will be centered.

5. When the candle is almost melt add some natural oil or vanilla essence. I try to add natural vanilla and it did not work! I also coordinate the colour of the candle with the scent. I make a light candle with vanilla sense and a yellow one with orange sense.

6. Stir well and pour the melted candle in the glass. Eventually, Cut the wick and wait to cool down and you are done!
Quick tip —> Cover the wick with melted candle also. That way it will burn better later on.

7. Finally, you can decorate your candle. When the candle it is almost cooled cover it with glitter. Also you can make one half of the candle one colour and the other half in other colour and scent. And you can you decorate also the glass.
